Projects By El, also referred to as PBE, was founded by Ellington Bramwell in 2023. The brand is the successor to Ellington’s first apparel project, Subtl, which was created in his dorm during his college years and laid the foundation for what would become a deeper, more expansive creative practice.

Chicago-born and rooted in intentional design, Projects By El serves as the retail arm of Ellington’s wider work as an artist and creative. All apparel is screen printed by hand in Chicago, ensuring a personal connection to every piece that leaves the studio.

PBE is built with gratitude. The brand exists because of the continued support, belief, and community that has surrounded it from the very beginning and that appreciation never goes unnoticed.
